tripadvisorThis was an excellent and fun food tour conducted through Secret Food Tours San Antonio. Our tour guide, *David*, was awesome. It's a walking tour that last approximately 3 hours but with each stop, you are sitting down to enjoy a delicious bite. We had barbacoa tacos at a wonderful old Mexican establishment that housed a bakery in the basement; we enjoyed delicious burgers at another stop and pastries that were out of this world at yet another stop. To round up the food tour we ended with barbeque and then ice cream. All of the food stops were intermingled with history about the area, a stop at an authentic Mexican market, a few ghost stories about some of the buildings we passed and a chance to go inside a beautiful church that housed the remains of Davy Crockett, James Bowie and Buck Travis (The Alamo) and also see the beautiful, sacred furnishings of the church. An added benefit? You meet some really nice people! My friends and I had a ball and would recommend adding Secret Food Tours of San Antonio to your travel plans. **Ask for David** as your tour guide. You won't be disappointed.
