Poor script poorly delivered. No apparent vetting of the guides by the business, so we had a youngster who could provide no historical reference, and delivered her lines in a flat monotone.

Absolutely horrendous! The guide was nice but was obviously hired off of an app for the season and had no experience or passion. The trek is treacherous and he were led down a very narrow set of stone steps in the dark without a street lamp in sight. We finished about a mile away from the starting point and the guide did not help us get back to our car safely in a town that is barely lit. She just left us standing there stranded and uncertain where to go. This tour cost nearly $30 a person which is way over priced to get a stories from a person who simply memorized a given script. Nearly half my group left before the tour was even over.

First, we couldn't find the tour guide. Our group and another were waiting in the parking lot of the building where we were told to meet. After waiting 10 minutes or so, my sister walked around to the front of the building where she found the tour guide sitting on the front steps apparently waiting for us to find her. This area at night is pitch dark - no streetlights or even many occupied houses. When we finally reached the tour guide, the first thing she mentioned was that the tour would end in lower town, which was over half a mile away and down a steep hill. She recommended that we schedule an Uber to pick us up at the end of the tour. Are you kidding me! Nothing about that was mentioned on their website, nor was it mentioned how steep the terrain we traversed would be, and we had someone in our family group who was 91. Both our group and the other group told her that we weren't interested and left without doing the tour. I requested a refund through their email and received no response. What a poorly run business!

Our tour guide was horrible! She was NOT a good storyteller and had no enthusiasm; she did not know the history, nor did she know how to pronounce the names of key figures. The only thing she did do with enthusiasm was push the merchandise. When people drop out of the tour left and right, that says something about the tour guide. People who paid for the extended tour did not stay. BUT on a positive note, we joined another amazing tour group, Ghost Tours of Harpers Ferry. STAY Away from Harpers Ferry Headless Haunts, but go to Harpers Ferry and find a good tour company like Ghost Tours of Harpers Ferry.
