The West Fargo community indoor pool’s inception in 1976 forged an abiding relationship between the facilities and families. Four decades later, to fulfill the burgeoning needs of the schools, a new aquatic center was built in 2015. The pool was built to the design of the 2016 Olympic Trials pool in Nebraska, boasts a state-of-the-art time system, professional-level diving boards and enhanced seating and is home to the district’s boys and girls swimming teams. The Hulbert Aquatic Center rents out a party room and the fully equipped competition pool for 120 minutes (the first hour and a half in the pool and the entire 2 hours in the room). These rental packages are allotted a designated area and are equipped to hold one group’s full complement. Swimming lanes are rented out sans the lifeguard charges. They reserve at least 3 swimming lanes for the public even as they rent out the others. Large-sized or long-duration events are offered pools, classrooms and locker rooms.
