We came in late for a one night stay, just needed a place to rest our head. This morning I went to shower and discovered they have NO conditioner - checked the from desk and the clerk informed me that the year she has been here they have not offered conditioner! Conditioner is standard in every hotel - other amenities may vary like make up wipes and shower caps, but conditioner? This is a standard offering, something people should be able to rely on. People with long hair can’t manage their hair and it becomes a tangled mess without conditioner. Now my husband is walking to the Pilot station at 6:45 AM to get conditioner. The decor is pretty and updated but the carpet throughout the halls is stained and looks disgusting, this is a detail they have clearly overlooked but makes a big impact. Beds are very firm, sleepable but on the firmer side for a hotel (and we have stayed in a lot of hotels!)Staff has been very nice.

My family stayed at this property on May 15th-16th for Baylor graduation festivities. Due to graduation, the stay was 2/3 times more expensive than other weekends. I booked three rooms for my family members. We were unable to check into 2/3 rooms until 6pm due to rooms not being cleaned yet and short staffing (3 hours after check out). Very laissez faire/ unapologetic attitudes about this issue by the front desk. Once we were checked in, it was immediately clear to us that there was NO HOT WATER IN ANY OF THE THREE ROOMS. Keep in mind, we had a TODDLER in one of the rooms, and had travelled from Dallas to attend this graduation. When we were in the elevator a man who was staying there for 2 weeks said the lack of hot water had been an ONGOING issue, not acute. I sent an email that night to the manager, requested a call in the morning to the front desk person, and was assured I would be followed up with. I was NEVER contacted. I finally reached the hotel after calling 3 days in a row (I also had Chase call them to settle the dispute but even Chase couldn't get ahold of them). The assistant manager is the only one who would answer the phone. The manager was completely unprofessional in not answering my emails, not returning my calls, or simply coming to the phone. The assistant manager told me it is unacceptable to not have hot water but she can only offer me a 15% discount. I let her know that my cousin received a 50% discount for her room that night and therefore 15% is not acceptable. The assistant manager essentially said tough luck. I let her know I would keep calling and would be leaving a scathing review until resolved. The assistant manager did not like this and refused to talk to me further. She then called me back and informed me that the original offer of 15% discount for the three rooms is void and they are offering me half off for one room ONLY, THAT'S IT. She was unable to explain why the other rooms suddenly did not get 15% off as originally stated. After all of that, I still did not receive a 50% discount, I instead received a flat $100 (THIS IS NOT EVEN HALF OF ONE ROOM). I have alot of questions... I was not treated correctly and do not recommend this hotel, this staff, this room, this service to any one. Baylor affiliated folks- DO NOT STAY HERE. I invite the manager to reach out to me. I still expect at least 15% discount on the other two rooms.

This hotel managed to charge premium graduation weekend prices while somehow forgetting one tiny little detail: hot water.Apparently, during Baylor graduation weekend, hot water is considered an optional add-on amenity instead of a basic human expectation. We checked in on Friday around 5 PM after driving across Texas, only to find out our room was not ready. We waited about 45 minutes just to get a key. Annoying, but fine, graduation weekend is busy. We finally got into the room, looking forward to a hot shower after hours on the road.ICE. COLD.Naturally, I called the front desk, thinking maybe there was some weird hotel trick to accessing hot water. At this point, I was already fresh off another adventure involving the electricity in the room not working because I unknowingly parked the hotel luggage cart in front of the key-card light switch by the door. When I called the front desk about THAT issue, instead of mentioning the card slot system literally next to the door, I was told to check the breaker box.So there I was, apparently moonlighting as the hotel electrician, flipping breakers on and off because maintenance apparently outsourced itself to the guests. Shockingly, that did not solve the issue. Eventually, I noticed the tiny sign next to the door explaining the card slot situation. Glad I got some free maintenance training for the evening, though.Back to the hot water situation.Saturday morning, still no hot water. Not just in our room, in the ENTIRE BUILDING. Nothing says “hospitality” quite like a mandatory cold plunge retreat nobody signed up for.The best part? Management’s response was essentially, “Sorry, but we can’t offer additional accommodation because we don’t allow double discounts.” Excuse me? A senior discount is not compensation for failing to provide one of the most basic services a hotel is expected to provide. Hot water is not a luxury perk. It is the bare minimum.Meanwhile, the room itself was already questionable. One of the beds had glitter on it when we checked in. Thankfully, the floor's housekeeping staff was kind enough to replace the bedspread immediately. There were also short black hairs all over the bathroom floor and shower. I’m sure whoever stayed there before us was a lovely man, but I personally do not enjoy stepping into someone else’s leftover beard trimmings while trying to shower in arctic conditions. To top it off, there was red mold in the shower. And let’s talk about the pricing. The hotel conveniently doubled its rates for Baylor graduation weekend because they know parents and grandparents will pay it to support their kids and grandkids. Then they throw around “senior discounts” as if that somehow balances out charging premium prices for motel-level conditions and no hot water. The real kicker? I finally got a hot shower Sunday morning, right before checking out and driving home. How thoughtful. If you’re visiting Baylor, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are closer hotels, cleaner hotels, and almost certainly hotels that treat hot water as a standard necessity rather than an exciting surprise bonus feature. If your dream vacation includes cold showers, mystery hairs, glitter bedding, red mold, and unpaid maintenance work, this is absolutely the place for you.

Came in desperate for a decent room at a decent price…. Dolly at the front desk was amazing at helping me sort out my reservations error and I couldn’t be more thankful. The hotel was conveniently located and very clean. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. 10/10 will recommend to anyone traveling through the area!
