It’s a beautiful hike with stunning ocean views, but if you are an inexperienced hiker, know what you are biting off. We took the Ellis trail on the way out which had some steep inclines, and the LaVerna trail back. Took more than 2 hours total which was a bit much for us late in the day. There are tree roots covering most of the trail so you need to step carefully. If you are a less fit and less experienced hiker like me, I’d recommend staying on the LaVerna trail both directions for an easier and more pleasant time.
