Bonnie Claire Dry Lake
Landmark
Located off Nevada State Route 267 in Nye County in the state of Nevada, Bonnie Claire is an old mining town. All that remains of this abandoned town are walls and foundations made of stone. Set close to the Death Valley National Park, Bonnie Claire is situated next to a lake bed that is known to have dried up a long time ago. Take a stroll along the dry lake and you will find the geological phenomenon known as sailing stones. These stones are known to roll along the smooth floor leaving a trail behind.
