I had wanted to see Derek DeYoung’s artwork in person for years, and visiting DeYoung Gallery was one of the destinations that inspired our trip to Montana. It did not disappoint.The gallery is beautifully presented and showcases Derek’s unique approach to fly-fishing art, blending vibrant color, storytelling, and a contemporary style that stands apart from traditional sporting art. As both an artist and fly fisher, I found it exciting to finally experience the work firsthand.The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the gallery itself is a wonderful space to slow down and enjoy the artwork. I ended up purchasing both merchandise and original art that I will cherish as reminders of our Montana journey.Whether you’re an angler, an art lover, or simply exploring downtown Livingston, DeYoung Gallery is well worth a visit. It was one of the highlights of our time in Montana
