The 2 hour Cedar Key History Tour did not disappoint! Ryan is super knowledgeable, especially since he's not only the owner of the tour company, but a resident of Cedar Keys. Cedar Keys is still recovering from Hurricane Helene which landed in September 2024 during a King Tide. But the history goes back as far as the Timucua Indians. Civil War references, fishing industry, oldest homes on the island and a drive through an 1886 cemetery were part of the tour. Lots of background stories as well as current info.Golf cart is comfortable, and Ryan gets out at each stop to talk about the area and what we're seeing. Participants may remain seated during the entire tour.Very reasonably priced. Enjoy!

Great. Our guide was a local resident; young man with a family, marine. Living there his whole life he is very knowledgeable about the town and people. I was surprised how small the population is, 300 full time, plus many part time, mostly retirees. He showed us the town, historical spots and elementary, and a wealth of information on the history of the (recent) hurricanes and damage. I am impressed he created his own tour business in a small town of few opportunities.

I had a fabulous time. I did the boat tour to Astena Otie Island and hiked to the cememtary on the island. Ryan told us all about the Faber pencil mill that was there in the 1800s and the history behind it. Later in the afternoon I did the golf cart tour of Cedar Key, touring the historic district and learning about the town's history, the historic homes and what makes Cedar Key such a unique and special place. I highly recommed booking any of the tours offered. You can't go wrong. I'm certainly looking forward to my next visit there.

Great experience. How convenient! Cedar Key always is great, but these tours are the icing on the cake! So convenient to all the island establishments.
