This was our first visit to East Bank on Maple Hill in Mill Creek, KS. My husband & I stayed for 1 night (Monday) in Honeybee - a corner room. Cost: $174.CHECK-IN: Self-check in was seamless• Amenities (we used): Hair dryer, plenty of hooks in the bathroom, one luggage rack, microwave, mini fridge & rocking chairs on porch. The mini fridge worked better than most!• Bath: Medium pressure, but despite being the only guests on-site (I believe), water did not get hot, only warm. There is no partition between the shower area & rest of the bathroom so we both got cold while showering. At one point, my arms even had goosebumps.• Bed: Both the mattress & pillows were very, very comfortable!• Cleanliness: Very clean• Cooling/heating: Stayed comfortable• Decor: Appears newly updated. Love the vaulted veiling with fan.• Sound: Very quiet. In fact, I loved the sounds of all critters & train in the distance!• TV: N/A• View: Rooms face West. Lovely view but slightly obstructed by trees• WiFi: Didn't use; T-Mobile & Mint Mobile all worked wellCUSTOMER SERVICE: Pearl was very quick to answer questionsFOOD: N/AHOUSEKEEPING: N/ALOCATION: Off the beaten path. Pearl provided excellent directions.PARKING: Free. Recommend add a parking lot for cars so as to not ruin the grass.TIPS: We didn't realize there was a blackout shade under the curtain for the window over the bed, so we were woken up very early by blinding sunlight. Roll it down before bed.Would I recommend/stay again? Yes, but there are a few changes we'd like to see:1. Allow guests to control patio lights (come on automatically). The light streaming through the front door (even with blinds shut) was too bright for bedtime. It also obstructed our view of the stars.2. Add glass or curtain to shower3. Add a TV - no need for cable, but preferably streaming options. We knew the room wouldn't have a TV, but after relaxing outdoors, it would have been nice to watch a movie.4. Add a small table for eating, playing games, etc. in the event of inclement, hot or cold weather.

We reserved a room on a lark! Wow. We were so pleased. A large room furnished with all we needed. We could have easily stayed longer and done some exploring. We saw hammocks and fire pits. An easy place to share life with family and friends (new or old). In the morning we enjoyed a peaceful hour on the patio before continuing our road trip west. We definitely recommend East Bank on Mill Creek!

We actually stayed at East Bank twice while on a road trip from CO to NC and back. My husband, his cousin and myself arrived on Friday the 13th at night or first time through and it was super dark with a winding iffy dirt road leading up to the property, but Pearl gave us excellent directions and we were able to find our cabin and the cabins are super cute. The pictures really don't do it justice. The first time through I booked through ARBNB and didn't realized that I was booking a cabin with one bedroom for three adults, which left for no privacy, but it worked for the night. I'm not sure if there are cabins with more than one bedroom, but on the way back I booked two cabins. The area is quiet and absolutely beautiful. I would have loved to enjoy the fire pits and swimming pool, but we got there so late both nights I was just grateful for a comfy bed. I highly recommend staying at this lovely little place that is close to the highway that doesn't feel close to the highway.

We stayed at East Bank for a family reunion representing 5 states, including east and west coasts and family members are ready to do it again!! We have had reunions in several different states but this place was voted by far the best. Although the surrounding area doesn't offer as much adventure as other locations, there was still plenty to do for adults and kids alike. But the venue is what stood out the most. We rented all the cabins and the lodge and enjoyed the pool, fishing, pickle ball, pool table and firepits. I can't express enough how much everyone enjoyed this location and just the things to do on property. The cabins and lodge are wonderful! And the pool area offers indoor and outdoor seating with overhead protection during inclement weather or if it is too hot. Fortunately, we had great weather. The pool got a lot of use, as well as the fishing ponds...then we used the firepits on our last night. Because the pool area is so inviting, we actually didn't spend a lot of time in the lodge but it was a great place to gather for morning breakfast, with a large kitchen area and plenty of seating. I will agree with another reviewer that pointed out that the stairs in the lodge could pose a problem for some guests but with the cabins and pool area offering other options, everyone was satisfied. When discussing locations for our next reunion, people suggested having it at East Bank again. I think we just may do that!!
