tripadvisorWent to the berkeley ghost tour and it was an amazing experence. Our guide did a great job sharing the stories behind each spot and her personal paranormal investigation experiences. She also prepared historical artifacts (i.e. newspapers) and videos to better illustrate the haunted stories of each place. The pacing of the tour was also great. We went through a few places that were safe but dark and somewhat spooky. Some part of the tour made my heart race and nervous but other parts soothed me and her guidance and communication made me feel safe. Would highly recommend if you're a horror movie or paranormal enthusiast.
MoreHaunted hike in Berkeley is so fun! It was fascinating, spooky, and whimsical all at the same time. Our guide Ying did a great job connecting with the audience, which made the experience feel very personal. We saw and heard stories about the underground of Berkeley history, tidbits of crime and horror and mystery paired with tales of ghost sightings. It felt like we entered another world as we explored old looming buildings off of hidden paths where these hauntings occurred. The ambience was very atmospheric, as a dark-of-night tour with flashlights, and there were many surprises along the way. (No spoilers!) I'd recommend this for any thrillseeker, lover of local lore, paranormal buff, horror fan, or urban explorer . It's a vigorous and immersive experience that will leaving you talking about it for days afterwards!
MoreIf you are looking for a spooky historical night, you need to go. Before I went, I was a little unsure of what to expect, but by the end of the night, I was 100% fulfilled with the experience. Each site we were brought to had an encapsulating story and spooky vibes. Ying was our guide and she is such an amazing storyteller and really knows how to capture your attention throughout the whole story. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone interested in the paranormal. Throughout the tour, we also got the opportunity to hold an EMF detector and some dousing rods it was super interesting.
MoreThe Haunted Bay Ghost Tour was an amazing experience for me and my group of fellow paranormal enthusiasts. One of us even brought an EMF detector, hoping to catch a sign from the other side! As Berkeley locals (or nearby residents), we were shocked to learn how many hauntings are right in our own backyard. The tour was packed with fascinating stories that kept us fully engaged from beginning to end.At one point the EMF was fully lit up and we had a ghostly interaction! Our guide, Ying, was phenomenal—she didn’t just recite ghost stories; she brought them to life. She shared personal, spine-chilling paranormal experiences that had us on the edge of our seats. Ying also provided supporting materials like videos and newspaper clippings, which added credibility and made the experience even more immersive.I highly recommend this tour, especially if you live in or around Berkeley. You’ll see a side of the city you never knew existed.
MoreI took the SF portion of the The Haunted Bay Ghost Tour multiple times and it is not for the weak-kneed. The final destination in that tour has a history...and I mean history....You will suddenly find yourself in a ghost investigation, not a tour. I don't want to oversell it, but every time I've been on this tour, something has happened. I have gone solo, as a couple, and with a big group of friends. I've learned interesting and fascinating facts about SF's torrid past. This tour is definitely a cut above the rest. You will not be disappointed.
