I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I mistakenly booked my stay for the wrong set of dates. I immediately contacted the hotel after booking to ask if they could move my stay to the following week, they said they couldn’t help me since I booked through Expedia. I then contacted Expedia and they stated they couldn’t refund me or change my reservation dates. I finally got in contact with the hotel after the fron desk gave me to corporate email the following day. It took the hotel 3 days to respond to me. They then stated that since I was marked as a no show, they would not be able to refund me or change the dates. Ultimately they pocketed my money when they did not provide any services to me. I personally find this to be unethical and straight up bad business practices. Since I couldn’t afford to book another hotel, I had to cancel my trip that I had been looking forward to for YEARS. I would not recommend staying here as their customer service is awful.

I checked in - in the morning, dropped my bag in the room, and stepped out to get a coffee. While I was out, I received an unexpected call about a personal emergency and had to fly home immediately. I returned to the front desk, explained the situation, and noted that I hadn’t used the room. Given how difficult it was to find hotel availability in D.C. that week, it was almost certain they could re‑book it.The staff assured me I would receive a full refund. A week later, I learned they had refused to issue it. They asked for proof of my emergency—which felt intrusive—but I provided it anyway. Even then, they still declined to help.Reaching their business office was extremely difficult, and when they finally responded, their tone was unprofessional. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.

Room was nice and roomy. Staff was very nice. Only complaint is that the AC was not working properly in our room. It was always between 77 & 79 degrees. The thermostat literally showed ERR. Hallways were nice and cool so it was just our room. Most annoying part was that we told the front desk multiple times but no one ever came to even look at it. Otherwise our visit was great

Hotel was older but very nice and the hotel itself was quiet. Staff was helpful and kind. The things I did not like were the “amenities fee” that was charged upon check in. We had no prior knowledge of this “mandatory fee.” It was pricey and absolutely ridiculous. Enough so that this will ensure I never stay there again. The other issue was we got stuck in the elevator and although it was on the lobby level. We pressed the alarm, yelled and banged on the elevator and nobody came. Finally the desk attendant came and several restaurant employees. It was extremely hot in there. It took them a bit to get us out of there. The other issue was the air conditioning. It’s motion activated. So when you leave and vine back it’s 74 degrees and when you are looking to cool off, that’s not ideal.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay here on June 14 was extremely disappointing.First, I booked through Priceline under the impression that I had already paid all required charges. However, when I arrived, I was asked to pay an additional fee that had never been disclosed during the booking process. Whether this was Priceline's fault or the hotel's failure to provide accurate information, it felt misleading and deceptive.Second, I barely slept because of the excessive noise throughout the night. A hotel's most basic responsibility is to provide guests with a clean, quiet place to rest, and unfortunately, that standard was not met.To make matters worse, the hair dryer in my room did not work at all. What disappointed me the most, however, was the lack of accommodation for a simple request. While waiting in the lobby, I politely asked whether there was a quiet corner where I could pray for five minutes. I was told there was no place available and that staff were not allowed to accommodate such requests. I was not asking for special treatment—just a small space for a brief moment of prayer. In a city as diverse and welcoming as our nation's capital, I expected a more understanding response.Between the undisclosed fees, sleepless night, broken amenities, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves the experience for future guests.
