Hillside Park is found at the junction of Hillside Road and Falls Road. Hillside Road actually winds down a hillside, and this helps define the name of the park. There are 20 acres of green space with a fenced in field on an upper level and a long narrow stretch below that field that eventually opens into a wide meadow-like field further along Falls Road. From this second open area, surrounded by forest, one can view the Baltimore Country Club from which the land was purchased with help from the Roland Park Community Foundation leading to a 25 year project that is finallyat completion. No marked sports fields or picnic tables were seen. At present the area is perfect for walking. I found parking along the narrow Hillside Road, though there may have been areas elsewhere near the country club. I enjoyed listening to the birds, who except for a couple grounds crew, were the only current 'inhabitants'.
