Beautiful decor, peaceful vibe. Easy walking distance to the Head of the Charles watching bridges. All staff members were so welcoming and attentive. Will stay again.

Friendly and helpful service but really a glorified B&B without any charm and not a real hotel. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Harvard but the lack of dining and elevator are a serious drawback. The room was nice but was seriously under illuminated. It was so dark that I had use the light on my Iphone to pack my bags. Only a vampire would appreciate how dark the room was. I'm giving three stars only because of the nice person who checked us in and carried our heavy suitcase up to our room. He was awesome.

Stayed here for a concert at the Sinclair. Great location. Close to the free Harvard Museums and a T stop. Hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Some aspects are a little small (like the bathroom), which owes to it being a renovated older building. The continental breakfast was surprisingly good - Egg bites, muffins, hand-made parfaits. In the common room, you can make tea or coffee at any time, and they even had a mini-fridge with little complimentary Haagen Daaz cups. They did a great job with the renovations. Lots of little personal touches you don't see very often in lodging these days. Very cute, cozy, and clean. Would stay here again.

Even though I have status at hotel chains, this establishment was selected because it doesn't require annoying destination fee and offers a nice distance away from Boston crowd.Location is quite nice with plenty of yummy spots within walking distance.I stayed 4 nights at room 13 / the Commonwealth (second floor, corner king deluxe).The street noise didn't bother me at all - I managed to sleep quite well with the help of a comfortable bed.Good water pressure and cozy robe.The room has a fireplace but I didn't need to turn it on.Mini-fridge size and WiFi connection was adequate for multi-day stay.My only feedback is to continue accommodating request for simple breakfast (cereal + milk) for early-bird travelers.
