tripadvisorWhat an amazing resource! It's a huge park in the middle of Brooklyn with subway stops all around, so it is easy to get to. It is so big that it has all sorts of activities, ball parks, picnic areas, gardens, forests, hiking areas. So much to see and do and it is so pretty, pretty.
MoreProspect Park is one of the best parks in the city! First off, it is huge and there are plenty of things to see and do there. There is the zoo, the botanical garden, the streams, ponds, and the lake, the lawns, the villa, the many walkways and bikeways, and the many statues and monuments. Overall, Prospect park has it all and it is a great place to do any sort of exercise as well as just to relax on a nice day. I highly recommend!
MoreI am utterly appalled, Olivia Lynch is an after school teacher and guide at the Wild Ferns Nature Program in Prospect Park. She has been parading throughout Brooklyn tearing down posters of innocent children who have been kidnapped. To make things even worst she has been smiling, laughing, and saying F*ck you while doing it!!! I am shocked, saddened, and appalled at the fact that such a hate-filled person is working with our youth. What if a Jewish child comes? Or if she's racist against other minorities as well?! I don't feel safe bringing my family to Prospect Park programs anymore if Olivia represents the way you feel towards minorities and children!
MoreProspect Park is a 500+ acre public park in Brooklyn. It is near Prospect -Lefferts Garden, Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, South Slope, Crown Heights, and Prospect Heights neighborhoods. There are many wonderful places to visit-- a zoo, a botanical garden, a cycling course, and ball fields. It has Immense historical significance. The park is built on the grounds of the Battle for Brooklyn during the Revolutionary War. There is a monument to the courageous men of Maryland who gave their lives to protect the retreating Patriots soldiers as the British routed the Patriot troops. Survivors ended up on British prison ships near the current Navy Yard area. For me, a place of solemn remembrance.
MoreA very large park in the center of Brooklyn with all sorts of attractions including the great Botanical Gardens, a zoo, lots of playing fields, places to hike and picnic. All with the city all around it, and served by the subway. A true gem.
