We just finished our second tour with Caravan and we can't say enough good things about them. Both times we experienced exceptional value: If we had rented a car, stayed at the same hotels on our own, bought our own breakfast every morning, and paid our own entry fees to the sites we visited, the trip would have been signifcantly more expensive than the tour price. The itineraries on both trips were comprehensive and full, but we always had adequate time to explore the site visited. We had a tour guide on duty 24/hours/day staying at our hotel the entire trip so we had the peace of mind of having someone to call if we became injured or ill. Our tour guides on both trips were delightful, entertaining, informative and truly paid attention to every little detail. Our bus drivers on both trips were friendly, helpful, and highly skilled allowing us to sit back and just enjoy the ride. Bags were handled by hotel staff so life was eazy-peazy the whole way. Provided meals were very good. Both times the others on our bus were great travel companions. We give Caravan a 5-star rating! We hope they expand their US tour offerings so that we can join them on another tour in the future.

This was Caravan Tour Company’s first tour in Peru. (They have a history of doing other tours in Latin America). We had a great experience seeing archeological and cultural sites in Peru. Our guide, Marcelo, was friendly, enthusiastic, helpful and informative. The tour was well organized and the food provided (largely at the hotels, and a few outside restaurants) was good. The hotels were comfortable and well appointed. This was a safe and fun way to see Peru, which is a country well worth visiting!
