Wendler is one of Iowa's most trusted builders of civil infrastructure. No other contractor from the state has built more water and wastewater treatment plants over the past half-century, or done more complex engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) work than Wendler. That’s why we are trusted for heavy civil projects of all scopes and sizes. Our work has always been rooted in service—and that commitment goes beyond the job site. Whether it’s investing in art or future construction leaders, we believe in giving back to the communities that have trusted us for more than 50 years. At Wendler, safety isn’t something we add on—it’s the core of how we build. With an EMR well below the industry average and a proactive, field-led culture, we lead by example on the jobsite. That means fewer delays and better protection for your project. We believe quality starts long before construction begins. Through rigorous QA/QC planning, field inspections, and third-party testing, Wendler ensures every phase of work meets performance expectations.
