I’m an experienced and results oriented science, math, and English teacher/tutor and former biotech sales director. I offer over twelve years of classroom teaching experience, primarily at public, charter and private schools in the SF Bay Area. I’ve tutored over six years both independently and for several private tutoring agencies where I taught students in person and on-line to improve their biology, math, English, and chemistry grades as well as their scores on the GRE, CBEST/CSET, SAT and ACT exams. I can also help students improve their study skills and reasoning skills. Currently I’m working as a public school teacher in the east SF Bay Area, teaching science, math, and English to underserved middle and high school students. My experience also includes successfully working with students with various learning challenges, IEP’s and attention deficit issues. I have worked successfully with students of all races and socio-economic backgrounds. My undergraduate education (B.S.) at U.C. Berkeley focused mainly on biology & environmental science. My master’s degree from Cal State East Bay) was in molecular and cell biology. I've worked over 20 years selling services to Ph.D. scientists in the biotech industry. I believe that all students deserve a tutor who is kind, patient and knowledgeable, who can relate to each students individual needs and encourage the student to achieve beyond their expectations. Lessons are based on each student’s aptitude and learning style.
