We felt lucky to sail with Captain Sean during our Orcas visit. We hadn't been on a sailboat for years, so we weren't sure what to expect, but he turned out to be a great host and an excellent, knowledgeable guide. We appreciated his attention to safety and our comfort, but the best part was reacquainting ourselves with the joy of sailing, including the quiet power of navigating the wind and fascinating waters of the San Juan Islands. And when the winds died down, we were thankful for the motor getting us back home on schedule. We hope to do this again -- highly recommended!

Sean was a great captain on the Dovetail. He was very attentive to all of our requests. He was also so patient and kind with all of our questions. He taught us a lot about sailing and all of the different aspects to consider when sailing. The whole experience was so peaceful and relaxing. I will be doing this tour the next time I come back! A must for quaint island experience!

This was a terrific experience for the family. Some of us are experienced, some aren’t - Captain Sean was great with everyone. You can tell a great captain by how he handles young kids and not only was Sean great with kids he turned it into a great learning experience for all levels. A highlight of the trip and something I would recommend to everyone.

I met Sean in mid-June while he was still preparing the boat for the summer season. The boat caught my eye off by itself at the Rosario marina. What a well kept beauty, all shipshape and bristol fashion as they say. Sean had not officially started the season yet but agreed to a maiden charter for my friend and I if there was sufficient wind the next day. As it turned out that next day was excellent with a crisp wind from the northwest blowing down Eastsound. We had a wonderful run south to Peavine Pass and exciting sailing beating to windward back to Rosario. I’ve charted bareboats and sailed in the islands since 1984 and Sean was comfortable letting take the helm for most of the sail. Sean has a very warm and welcoming personality that made us feel right at home onboard. It made for a wonderful day!

We had such an amazing time out on the water with Swell Sailing! Captain Sean was so great, easy going and knowledgeable. It was such a lovely day for a cruise. The boat was so beautiful and spacious. It accommodated our family of 4, and a couple friends with no problem. Our 17 year old loved it and our 3 year had a blast. It was such a lovely experience. Thank you Captain Sean and Co! You all are so wonderful! We definitely hope to be out on the sea again on the Dovetail.
