The Curious Crayon is a small, home-based preschool where children are known, valued, and encouraged to love learning. We believe preschool should be filled with creativity, curiosity, and meaningful experiences—not excessive screen time. Every day includes hands-on learning, art, music, science, outdoor exploration, early literacy, and real-world math that helps children understand concepts instead of simply memorizing them. Our program is intentionally small so we can build genuine relationships with every child and partner closely with parents. We focus on kindness, confidence, communication, and problem-solving through positive guidance, redirection, and emotional regulation rather than punishment. Founded by two experienced educators and parents of neuro-divergent children, we’ve created a preschool where every child is seen as an individual. We celebrate different learning styles and strive to make every child feel safe, capable, and excited to come to school. At The Curious Crayon, we’re not just preparing children for kindergarten—we’re helping them develop a lifelong love of learning.
