While in college at the University of South Carolina, her deep interest in science and research, combined with her love for animals, set her on the path to becoming a veterinarian. Her early experiences of bringing home strays as a child and her natural gift for working with people and animals fueled her dream. Dr. Perzak firmly believes in the golden rule: treating others, whether they have two legs or four, with respect, dignity, and compassion. As a veterinarian, she considers herself akin to a pediatrician, responsible for deciphering the needs of pets who can't always communicate their ailments. Dr. Perzak graduated from the University of Georgia with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and later completed a one-year internship at Texas A&M University, further honing her skills and empathy for both pets and their owners. Beyond her veterinary practice, Dr. Perzak enjoys various pursuits. She's a savvy shopper, always on the hunt for bargains, and often takes her dogs along for errands, rewarding them with pup-a-chinos. Gardening, interior decorating, reading, playing cards, and leisurely walks are among her favorite activities. She also aspires to a plant-based lifestyle in 2024. In her furry family, Dr. Perzak has two dogs: Finnegan, an 11-year-old Springer Spaniel and Lochlan, a 2-year-old Springer.
