DJ DX is an open-format event DJ for weddings, corporate events, holiday parties and private parties across New York City, New Jersey and the Tri-State area. DJing since 1998 with more than 500 events, he reads the room live instead of running a playlist, moving between R&B, hip-hop, house, Afrobeats, Latin, disco and 80s and 90s classics. Every booking includes professional sound sized to the room, wireless microphones, MC announcements and a planning call. Bilingual emcee in English and Spanish. Soul Shades adds live violin with Julie Schatz over the DJ set, for ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions. Signature packages combine the DJ, live violin and an event videographer, so one booking covers the music, the live performance and the highlight video. Recent rooms include The Glasshouse, The Argyle, 620 Loft & Garden and a Saks Fifth Avenue estate event in the Hamptons. Clients get a written contract, published starting prices, a reply within 24 hours and clean edits by default for corporate and family events.
