We loved the hotel, the location, and the rooms. However there was a major problem with the hot water. The water was just luke warm and not comfortable for a shower. We reported this, and were told that several people had reported it. The hotel knew that this is a problem

This hotel might be dog-friendly, but it is not senior-friendly nor ADA compliant. I had been led to believe that I was booking a handicapped room, but when we checked in the room was not available. We had to bring our toilet chair to use; the shower was a bit difficult as there was only a short grab bar. Someone helped us with our baggage going to our room, but when we called for help checking out, the manager and others refused. We called IHG, the company that owns this hotel, and they could not help us. We happened to encounter firemen that were there to fix an elevator, and our neighbor (!) To be fair, almost ALL the staff was very helpful, except for the woman at the desk, who refused to help us and threatened to call the police. We will never stay at a IHG hotel again.

The ladies at the front desk during check-in were very nice. When the TV control did not work, the replacement was quick and courteous. We were disappointed in the social hour(s) as the fries were limp and toppings were just passable. Not very appetizing. The lady hosting the social was not pleasant and did not smile once that we witnessed , answering any questions with one-word answers accompanied by a frown ,making it a poor experience. We didn't bother approaching her for a cookie- we just left immediately. Breakfast was good, although the eggs were somewhat watery. No one was at the desk to check out. All in all, this particular Staybridge was somewhat subpar compared to our normal stay at Staybridge hotels.**** I also much prefer a bathtub option or at least a handheld showerhead.

Enjoyed the room. Nice setup, spacious, like most hotels is quiet as long as your neighbors are. We had a problem with the bed being very hard. Pillow options were hard or soft. No feather or down pillows. People were very nice. Breakfast was above average with hot items rotating day to day. The lobby was huge with a variety of areas for socializing. There was a Social hour in the afternoon but we were not there at the times it was held. Absolutely will return.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but unfortunately its come to that. On Friday Oct 18th my daughter and I were traveling to Lexington from Olive Branch MS, a 6 hour drive turned into 10 due to traffic and what not. I called the hotel at 7:30pm Gave my name, and asked how late I could check in, I was told Midnight! Great, We got there at 8:30(ish) pm, to check in.. I was greeted by a woman (no name tag) who told me my reservation had been canceled ( I had reserved a one bedroom suite), and there were no notes, she stated that its weird that there are no notes, because its policy to make notes. (yes I booked through Hotels.com) she stated that I needed to call Hotels.com and find out why THEY canceled my reservation. The woman told me they were completely booked for the weekend, and that I would need to find a different place to stay, and that she couldn't help me. I went outside and made the call to Hotels.com and as I am waiting to be connected to someone, my daughter comes out and says The woman at the desk said when you're charged she'll refund it I went in and asked why I would be charged when I DIDNT cancel my reservations, I asked how long will it take to get a refund I was told 3-5 business days, IF I'm charged, she stated she used the wrong verbiage to my daughter. I finally get connected to Hotels.com and am told they did NOT cancel my reservation. The Hotels.com rep called the hotel, and basically got no where with the woman at the front desk, because again they were sold out. Yet while I was standing there, a woman who was already checked in, came to the desk and asked Can I upgrade my room? and she was told not tonight, but tomorrow I can that's when I jumped into the conversation and stated but you told me you were sold out for the entire weekend, how are you able to upgrade her room? I was met with a horrified look and silence... I don't understand how I booked, yes through a third party, and yet I was canceled, with no notification, and it wasn't even the third party who canceled it!!!! We got very lucky to call Candlewood Suites down the street ( a sister hotel) and they were accommodating and friendly, and helped us out immensely. She even told me that the Hotel had to of canceled me, because they have a policy to follow, Where if you're not checked in by 6pm, they're to call you and follow up if you're coming before releasing your room, and to make adequate notation. The best part is... We received an email at 7:03pm on Friday night, asking us how our check in went... How the heck did we get an email asking us how check in went, when we were canceled!!! (I booked through Hotels.com because its easier to navigate, and look at the map in an unfamiliar state. We chose this hotel because of how close it was to what we were doing for the weekend.)
