We enjoyed our visit to this small but interesting Center. Street parking was easy. There is a nice store and many items in the center are for sale. Items are lovely. Great place to find special gifts. We enjoyed our visit.

My sister and I enjoyed checking out this exhibit at the Textile Center ----a place neither of us had ever been. It paired female visual artists with female chefs.

This is a marvelous destination easily accessible by the Green Line light rail from either downtown Minneapolis or Saint Paul. The Textile Center has wonderful and frequently changed exhibits of fabulous fiber creations featuring the creative works of a variety of artists.. Additionally, there is a gift shop with an assortment of items--many handcrafted. Classes are available as is a library covering all topics textile-related. The center is close to the U of MN campus, Stadium Village, Surly Brewery, and is located in the Prospect Park neighborhood. Every visit to the Textile Center is a delight.

Artists in the Kitchen is the latest blockbuster exhibit at Textile Center. The shows in their galleries are always free and open to the public. They offer an array of classes from the basics of textile and fiber arts practices to advanced workshops led by nationally and internationally known instructors. Textile Center has an awesome shop where you can buy beautiful handmade textile goods and supplies, and one of the largest circulating libraries of textile and fiber arts books and resources anywhere. There is also a tool library, a dye kitchen to rent, and classroom spaces for rent for studio use and guild meetings. A treasured resource in the Twin Cities. Spread the word!

If you have any interest in fiber arts, check out this place. They have exhibits of beautiful works of wearable art, gorgeous quilts and a shop that made me want to empty my bank account. I liked it so much I got a membership, even though I live out of state. Visit! You will not regret it!
