tripadvisorThe brats and polish are great. Still made on site, with the same recipes that have been handed down, it’s hard to find quality like this. But if you’re only getting brats and polish, you’re missing out. Their pepperoni is a must try, I buy some, thin sliced, every time I visit. It’s great in sandwiches and salads, but we usually end up eating it on its own or with a bit of cheese and crackers. While you’re getting pepperoni, pick up some polish jerky. It’s exactly what it sounds like- polish, sliced and smoked. It’s salty and smokey and fatty and delicious. Try cooking a couple pieces in the skillet next time you make eggs, it’s so good. And y’all, they make the best porketta. That’s not hyperbole, it is the best porketta I’ve ever had. If you’re from the range, you know what porketta is, go get some. If you’re not from the range, it’s a boneless pork roast, rubbed in spices. It’s what we serve on holidays, at birthday parties, pretty much any time we get together in celebration. Serve it hot, for Sunday dinner, or cook it the night before and serve it with rolls for sandwiches
MoreI buy their polish in bulk and split and wrap to keep around all year . It’s over 100 miles round trip but I go at least 4 times a year to keep some in my freezer ! Again the Polish is my main stay but everything I have tried has been great! Hope to go tomorrow to stock up again . I love sharing these with friends but hate when it eats into my supply . We will fix that . Never enough !
MoreIf you are in the area don't miss out on an opportunity to pick up a selection of meats from Koshars. I highly recommend his pizza pepperoni -- we buy some just for a snack with or without crackers. We especially enjoyed their potato sausage frozen in a pan.
MoreThe best traditional old world style salami , sausage etc. The shop has a clean and neat appearance with dry goods from Croatia and Slovenia lining the shelves. And above the door reads a sign the says through these doors pass the best customers! I have bee a customer here since 1982.
MoreI stop here for the locally smoked meats and always pick up a little local flavor, the blood sausage is positively the best Ive ever had.
