I cannot believe that we spent $15 today to visit that place today!I'm also upset at myself that I didn't read about it before going there, to save myself a trip and lost time.But I had just so high hopes.The place has very skimpy display and, even that, not worth the time.I know that artists have aunique capacity of seeing beauty or intriguing material and inspiration in places the rest of us, laymen, won't.That is something that I admire.Having a whole section of the art center dedicated to how different folds of fat of human belly form different shapes does not belong to the realm of art for me, even if that concept is being generously stretched.I guess De gustibus non est disputandum.

I came here for a memorial and had a chance to reflect on some of the artwork; this is a welcoming place, with great artwork and friendly staff. I love how open the arts center is, which adds to the ambiance as we enjoyed the artwork. The arts center is also right by the river, so the natural views are gorgeous.

A true gem in Rochester. The Rochester Art Center offers a refreshing and inspiring escape, especially for those visiting the Mayo Clinic. While it’s not a large collection, the rotating exhibits keep the experience fresh and absolutely worth returning to.The staff are exceptional—welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the space. It’s the perfect place to step away, reset, and enjoy something new between appointments. A hidden retreat that adds real value to any visit to Rochester.

I joined the figured drawing classes last spring and this fall. It was a very positive experience, well organized with great experienced models. I was so excited to get back to drawing just like when I was in college. Thank you Rochester Art Center.

I've been to the Rochester Art Center many times in the past for both events and with family/friends. This month was the 2nd time I've attended as part of a networking group, and I find myself loving it more and more each time. In fact, this past visit motivated me to become a Promoter member! The Rochester Art Center is unique because most of it is so bright with natural light unlike many museums/Art Centers. The exhibitions change regularly so there is always something new. I think what I'm most excited about with my new membership is making use of the Creative Studio and getting discounts on the various art classes! The Rochester Art Center is a true gem that all community members (and visitors) should be supporting!**Note: Even if you aren't a member, you can pay a small fee and use the Creative Studio. I would think this would be such a wonderful resource for those visiting Mayo Clinic for themselves or family. It also makes for a wonderful and unique date night activity!
