tripadvisorI would love to go again with my husband vann Jackson
MoreThis is a very convenient park that is centrally located and wonderful for enjoying an evening stroll. There are monuments, cascading falls, and a very nice restaurant (Edison) to enjoy.
MoreI RODE A BIKE DOWN HERE EARLY IN THE MORNING, I THINK JUST HALF AN HOUR AFTER SUNRISE. AND I RODE AROUND THE POND TO THE EAST OF THE PEDASTRIAN BRIDGE OVER MONROE. I SAW THE APOLLO XIV MOON TREE. I ALSO WENT BY THE IMAGINATION FOUNTAIN WHEN THE WATER WAS TURNED OFF. I ALSO SAW THE CASCADES FOUNTAIN, PRIME MERIDIAN PLAZA, AND THE AMPITHEATER. I DROVE THROUGH DISCOVERY PLAYGROUND, ALTHOUGH, I DON'T REALLY IS A PLAYGROUND: THEY JUST HAVE 1 SLIDE AND A CLIMBING THING, AND I SAW THE KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL. THE MEMORIAL IS VERY COOL, ACTUALLY. THERES A MAP OF NORTH AND SOUTH KOREA AND THERES A BROKEN CIRCLE WITH THE MISSING PART LAYING DOWN. IF YOU ARE VISITING TALLAHASSEE WITH BIKES, RIDE THEM FROM YOUR HOTEL TO HERE.
MoreThis is a charming park where you can ride your bike, walk or just sit on a bench and have lunch or enjoy the pond and scenery. It is serene and has a lot of history which is explained on the various boards around the park. You can stop at the Edison Restaurant for some wonderful refreshments and lunch and take in the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend this park.
MoreWell utilized, diverse, scenic, historic....very nice! The war memorial was especially poignant. Although too altered, glad the power station was preserved.
