Having a week off with no formal plans I decided to make a point to visit a number of parks near my home that I have not had an opportunity to visit; Enos Pond was one of those parks. I’ve passed the entrance a number of times in and out of marina restaurants but never really gave it much thought. It is in an unassuming spot! But what a spot it is. Simply lovely. My visit was a humid July day so I do recommend bug spray. The trees provide a “muir woods” kind of fantasy walk There were a few picnic tables beneath the tall pines. The pathway is a mix of gravel and pine needles. Easy walking or biking. The trails are well maintained with a handicapped path that has flat ground. The wooden bridges take you to the edge of the marsh. We saw toads and lots of birds. I imagine this would be beautiful in the winter as well. Leashed dogs are welcome. There are a number of informational signs along the path. Some telling the history of the area. Others explaining her flora and fauna. Prior to entering the pathways there is a nice picnic area and a playground for children. Plenty of free parking. Highly recommend

The Eno Pond County Park is a relaxing green country park with walking trails and a children’s playground. It’s a quiet lush park.

I would recommend this park to anyone who is a birder or nature lover. We saw so many species of bird including several great blue herons and other waterbirds. So many species of grasses and trees. Just a treat!

Visited this park with my grandson. Plenty of parking, playscape, and bathrooms. It has groomed trails which allows you to push a stroller. One section has a boardwalk which takes you to an observation deck overlooking the pond. We saw snapping turtles sunning themselves and a box turtle along the path. Paths wander through a wooded area. Also has a field so bring a ball to kick around.

Great to walk your dog, take a jog or enjoy nature. On the location that once was part of the Forked River airport, Eno's Park is a nice local get a way.
