Reviews
tripadvisorEverything was on top notch including the food, I really enjoyed my stay there
MoreI came in with modest expectations when I visited last month for a weekend. The reality was so much better. This is the best a bed and breakfast and a fine hotel. Even though the price point is modest, this is no cheap motel. It is on the short list of destination locations for me now. The fact that it happens to be in one of the most fun neighborhoods in the country makes it that much better. The staff was terrific and friendly and very helpful in pointing out places in the neighborhood. Mornings on the deck facing the front yard were exquisite. And despite being in one of the most popular neighborhoods in the Midwest, it was quiet at night. And let me again say I was there on a weekend. It is a safe bet I will be back. This was one of the top 10 lodging experiences of my long life.
MoreThis is the best possible stay experience - excellent beds, huge showers, mini-fridges, hosted ice machines, cutlery, great bar, outdoor area, etc. I cannot say enough about this one-of-a-kind hotel/home away from home! We stayed here dozens of times while visiting our daughter at college (we're from CA), and honestly, this is the very best hotel anywhere. They do everything possible for their guests, and do it so well. ONLY criticism is that they really need to clone themselves because we need more of HBR!
MoreWe love HBR! We’ve come several times a year for nearly a decade and we are never disappointed. The hotel itself is delightful and the walkable proximity to food, shopping, art and recreation makes it the perfect location. Deb, Dennis, and the whole crew are amazing!
MoreI wish I could give this place 6 stars. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years and this is my new favorite. The room is wonderful with a great bed, shower, amenities, wifi, and outdoor balcony with a view. The indoor and outdoor areas are perfect. It is all very homey and friendly and efficient. And so beautiful. They think of everything. I loved the self service honor bar. This place felt like a second home. I will be back!
