This park has gotten so rundown. Why does the city of Louisville allow this park to go unmaintained. All the other parks get new benches/picnic tables and remodeled restrooms. This park never gets new playground equipment for the kids or anything. Whoever represents the district that this park is in needs to be voted out. It's a shame that the other parks get all fixed up and this park gets neglected.

If you want a good view of the Ohio River this is it, however, it has little else. Oh, there is a section with a boat access to the river if you have a boat. It offers a good view of the Great Boat Race around Derby time but that's only one day a year. At least it's a scenic drive along River Road.

We wanted to take a walk near the river and decided Cox's Park was the place to do this on such a gorgeous day. We were able to take a 45 minute walk, enjoyed watching a blue heron stalk fish and geese trying to horn in on his territory. The river was a little high and rough from the storm water from up northeast. Everything was great EXCEPT they needed to cut the grass. We'll definitely return as it's a great place to walk. Louisville has some of the best parks in the country.

Beautiful riverside park. My group bought great BBQ up the street at River Rd BBQ and had a great picnic. We used picnic tables and watched the boats launching. Nice spot to walk along river and lots of kids fishing.

You can watch boats being launched at the ramp. Or just sit by the river. An area that you can fish from in the river. Rest rooms.
