Memorial Park is a popular Houston attraction complete with a beautiful three-mile (4.8 kilometers) playground. There are walking paths, picnic sites, baseball fields, pine trees, gardens, and ponds in the sprawling park. Here, you can appreciate nature's beauty and make the most of the sunny weather. The locals love to jog here, but you can also rent a bike and hit the trail. There is also a public golf course with a clubhouse and restaurant, a tennis club, and a workout facility nestled on the grounds.

tripadvisorTried to go there for the first time to see the park but some golf tournament was going on and all the parking areas were closed unless you were a part of the function. This is a public space and yet they closed it for profit. If you were part of the event, we saw the parking fee was $35! There was no notice on their website stating this event was scheduled and that one can't use the park.
MoreThis is a nice relaxing park to walk around. It is very well maintained, and I never see any litter anywhere. There are several concrete trails and a few gravel ones. There is plenty of seating and views to take in. Some of the parking areas charge, so check before you park. The only downside for me is the cyclists who use it as a race track with no consideration for others. My small dog has nearly been hit a few times there. So I try to stick to the non cycling paths.
MoreWhen I go to Memorial Park, I only visit the Eastern Glades. It's one of my favorite nature park areas in the U.S. It has various different areas, all with their own vibe. Some are more rustic, some are finished and glossy. So many people using the spaces in different ways. All the attributes of a great park. Kudos to the city for projects like this.
MorePark is so pretty and lovely… however, I was there for an hour and my car got broken into. Be very cautious parking in the main lot.. unfortunately I won’t be back because of the high rate of break ins. A bummer because the park is very nice especially on a cool spring day.
MoreThis is a huge city park with lots of hiking, jogging and biking trails, and it is much lvoed and much used. Great big green space in the middle of a densely populated part of time. Almost a forest.
