Goodale Park Park ·$

Just a block off the action of the Short North section of High Street, Goodale Park is an inviting place to sit back and relax. The pond, with its fountain and gazebo, is the centerpiece, with folks lounging along its banks and kids playing at the edge of the water. Winding pathways throughout the park see a lot of use as well. There are baseball diamonds and a basketball court for those in need of a bit of organized sport.

This was my first time visiting Goodale Park, and it is an amazing place! There are lots of seating areas, which make it perfect for a picnic spot. The lake is beautiful, covered with water lilies, and I even saw plenty of dragonflies fluttering around. The elephant fountain is wonderful. I loved watching the water stream out of the elephants’ trunks. I also noticed some park benches with built-in chessboards. If I had brought chess pieces, I would have loved to sit and play a game there. There are also plenty of walking paths, making it a great place to stroll and relax. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature in the city.

This is a very spacious and well maintained park with a very beautiful water fountain in a lake. One could go for a nice leisurely walk or run or cycling preferably around or after sunset when it's a bit cooler.

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 9 am and made our way towards the entrance of the park. We opted to walk the perimeter of the park. The trail was relatively easy and consisted of walking on a flat, even surface for a majority of the walk. There was a decent amount of green space in the park, and there were quite a few people out and about with their animals. We passed by a few trees, along with a pond with a water fountain feature.Tip: I recommend spending 30 minutes here if you truly want to see everything.

This is a lovely park surrounded by some pretty old houses and within walking distance of both High Street shopping and North Market. It's easy to park here for free and walk to those. Don't miss the pretty elephant fountain in the pond. There are several playground areas and this is also the perfect place to walk a dog.
