One of the best parks in the city, Lincoln Park is a great place to spend the day soaking the sun, taking in the fresh breeze or simply taking leisurely strolls. Spread over 51 acres (20.639 hectares), the park offers ample opportunity for activity too as it boasts of softball fields, playing equipment for children and hiking trails. The numerous picnic tables also make this a great spot to bring along a picnic basket and blanket and spend a couple of hours outdoors with family or friends. If you are looking for a day spent amidst nature, then lush green Lincoln Park is where you need to be headed.

tripadvisorDog owners ruin this walking experience. In just 30 minutes I encountered three unleashed dogs. I carry pepper spray but I’m sick if it. Will find a different park.
MoreI was disappointed--this was my first trip to Lincoln park and I expected to be on real trails, not cracked and uneven pavement. It is worth the trip and walk around, but be ready for a definite urban hiking experience. Also be wary of the dog poop--there was a lot of it around, and apparently none of the dog owners paid much attention even though there were poop bags and a trash can readily available to solve the problem.
MoreI needed a break and found this park that was recommended by a local restaurant. Perfect walking park. Trail around the Pond, super friendly folks, plenty of park benches to enjoy the ducks, and jumping fish.
MoreThe Month of May is a perfect time to visit the upper section of the Park! The flowers are taking turns blooming, the grounds are still fresh from spring rains and the beautiful pond is alive with surprises! --just stand still for a moment and you will notice something amazing! Don't forget to hike down the hill (stay to the right when you come into the upper park from the parking lot--there is also a sign). Park has access from the top, just no restroom on the top still. Bring plastic bags to re-fill the dog poddy boxes and enjoy!
MoreThere is so much more to this park than meets the eye! The staircase that connects the two parts is so cool, but it’s a hike! The pond at the upper part has a pond that is abundant with wildlife, the lower part has a lot of room for family play.
