I stopped by Highland Park in Pittsburgh in March 2026 during a work trip. It's a beautiful park with paths, a reservoir and nice views. A calm place to walk and take a break.

On a whim a friend and I stopped here and took a stroll. It's right by the zoo and occasionally we could smell the wide life. Not bad. The paths are very nice and well kept. I would love to spend an afternoon just relaxing after a lunch at Carnegie Lake. If you have sometime to spend in this area this is a very nice spot in a lovely neighborhood.

I grew up close by and spent many wonderful hours walking, running, biking and reclining. Still a great location to stroll especially about the twin reservoirs. A great cold water fountain at the entry at the end of Highland Ave. See if you can find the small tunnel where its rumored they trapped a black bear which had escaped from the nearby zoo .It has a swimming pool, playgrounds, and pinic tables.
