They have a really nice Veterans Memorial at this park. We ended up parking at the Art center to check it out. It’s close to the docks and the downtown seawall area.

For practical purposes, this park is an extension of Water's Edge Park. It is nice enough, and well maintained, but you may get there and not realize it. There is a granite monument dedicated to the War on Terror. The main point of this park is honor military veterans; the Corpus Christi Veterans Band performs here each year on Veterans Day and Memorial Day, and for that, and that is always a nice event. The park is named after the first person from Corpus Christi to lose their life in WWII (and who died on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor).

The South Texas Veterans Memorial is located in Sherrill Park. The park is located next to the Art Center along the Corpus Christi bay waterfront and near the Corpus Christi Yacht Club. We spent about 15 minutes walking around the small park and enjoying the bay.
