tripadvisorThe park itself looks nice and I do see people picnicking periodically when I drive by (often). It is near the University and has been known to be a hang out for people without homes. Especially, during the evening. This area of town (and around the university) I do not recommend walking alone or at night. During the day when there are lots of students it is safer. I stay as far away from Central as possible.
MoreThis park is one of the only fully shaded parks in Albuquerque. I have only been there recently to play disc golf. There are rolling hills, and you need to be aware of people there to enjoy the shade and park/picnic when throwing discs.
MoreWe stopped here for a picnic while we were on a road trip. It was clean, cool, shady, and peaceful. The kids loved to get out and play.
MoreThis park has a wonderful perimeter path, lots of mature trees, interesting terrain. This was a refreshing stop during an overnight stay on a long road trip. Family friendly.
MoreWe were driving across the country and decided to stop in Albuquerque for dinner. We had our dogs with us so we decided on some thai carryout and wanted a place to eat it that was not in the car. We found this park using google maps and it was close as well as highly rated. We can see why! This park was lush and green and a great place to hang out. There were people playing catch. There were people with dogs. Of course there were pokemon people wandering around too. There was a picnic with a big group going on as well. We found a picnic table and enjoyed our dinner with the dogs. Great local spot!
