We stopped at this park and noticed it is a few blocks hike to Fort Granger which has a lot of Civil War History. We enjoyed the hike but those who have trouble climbing over uneven rock steps may prefer to drive up to the fort. Kids will enjoy Pinkerton park which has a large wood playground.

We love taking the kids to Pinkerton Park. There are so many fun things to climb on. It is well-kept, the walking trail is nice, and it always feels safe.

We used to go here a lot when our kids were young to play on the Tinker Bell playground. But there is a ton of space to have a picnic, walk/run around the large trail. You can put a kayak into the Harpeth River here. Or you can walk up to the old fort up the hill. Just a great park.

Nice walking trail, great play area for kids, good for picnics, plenty of wide open space in an otherwise busy area. Even has rest rooms!

Great place to walk, picnic or play with the kiddos or walk the dog. Paved walkway. Playground and covered picnic tables. Has an indoor bathroom building.
