Visitors catch a glimpse of life in the eighteenth century at the historic Glebe House in Poughkeepsie. Constructed in 1767, the Georgian style brick house has much of its original fittings intact. Decorated with typical 18th century furniture and artifacts, the house has a coveted spot on the National Register of Historic Places. Tourists can discover the house and its history by arranging for a tour. Admission and tours are by appointment only.
