tripadvisorTraveled there for a high school football game. Once inside the seating and field were great, especially when compared with high schools. What wasn't fine was everything else. Like the other reviewer, the stench in the air was horrendous at times. The first bathroom I tried had flowing water in the floor, the second smelled almost as bad as the air outside. Then there was the parking issues. Chattanooga charges by the hour for parking, even on a Friday night in the stinky part of town. We paid more for parking than we did for a ticket to the game. Then we were ticketed for being in the spot for 4 minutes too long. Yes, FOUR minutes extra was a thirty dollar fine to park in a part of town that honestly I would never choose to be in at night. I guess they really know how to treat out of town guest.
MoreAfter visiting Finley Stadium for a kids club football game to see my granddaughter cheer for our favorite team, we were once again very impressed with the stadium and its facilities. We had been there many other times for The University of Tennessee-Chattanooga football, to concerts, to a cancer fundraiser. This time was a bit different. The smell that permeated the air was horrendous. Almost to the point we would have packed up and left IF it were not for my granddaughter. Turns out there is a chicken processing plant next door that was in full processing mode that day. Or, just maybe the wind was blowing the wrong direction. It's ashamed that a great venue should have to contend with that situation.
