This review is for the show - Shen Yun 2019. The show was a little long for me, although it was only 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission. About 18 different performances - felt disjointed. I enjoyed some of the dances, ‘Sleeves of the Tang Palace’ and ‘Fairies of the clouds’ were beautiful. The 21st century and ‘Final Moment’ or the ‘That lives May Be Saved’ performances did not fit the genre. I would have liked to see more of a cohesive story line theme. The dancers were talented but I was disappointed with the show and do not think it was worth the money. The performing arts center at Purchase is a great venue, comfortable seats and lots of parking.

We recently enjoyed a Saturday matinee of Shen Yun at SUNY Purchase. This was our first visit to the Performing Arts Center, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our seats were located in the last row of the orchestra section, and the view was great. We will watch for upcoming shows at this venue.

I love this venue for concerts. If you live or will be visiting the area, look up their calendar online. Whoever schedules the performances has eclectic taste and puts together an interesting and varied assortment of offerings. I've never had a subscription, yet I've been able to purchase some of their best seats for individual concerts by reserving seats as soon as they offer tickets to the general public. Clients I've entertained at this venue have given me positive feedback.

We visited Purchase in order to see two performances by the Teatro Nuovo. We usually go the the Glimmerglass Opera, but this year decided to try Teatro Nuovo, as the three of us enjoy performances of Bel Canto opera. The theater is large with comfortable seating and a good view of the stage from wherever you are seated. The performances were exceptionally good with gifted artists and an wonderful orchestra performing, using instruments period to the operas themselves. These were performances that will be fondly remembered by us all. I would highly recommend to any opera enthusiasts that you seek out and attend future performances. The theater itself is easily found on the SUNY Purchase campus by following the West Wing and looking for signs for the parking lot associated with the theater. There is ample parking and the theater is a short walk away. Beverages, sandwiches and desserts are available in the foyer ore the performances.

Part of SUNY arts college, this auditorium is home to the Westchester Philharmonic. Excellent music! tickets available single or series. Only problem is lack of an elevator- modern design. Hall is also used for local events.
