Formed in 1946, Coronado Playhouse is a 100 seat cabaret-style theatre with a full-service bar. Based in Coronado, Calif., it provides entertainment with a mix of classic and modern comedies, dramas and mysteries, musicals, Shakespeare and other original works by local authors. Coronado Playhouse also offers dinner and brunch shows, which include complete catered meals along with coffee, champagne and desserts. The theatre also offers several items for sale or rent, such as antique tea carts, plant stands and dining tables, to name a few. Coronado Playhouse partners with Coronado Boathouse Restaurant.

We've been going to almost every play in the past 2 years and have not been disappointed. The choices for productions have been entertaining and do not disappoint. I'd highly recommend attending a play or 2 or a season.
MoreI discovered this theater about three years ago. I have virtually loved EVERY SINGLE show. The acting is amazing, the sets sublime, and the setting delightful. Further the box office staff, Susan, is so helpful and friendly, even when I've had to re-book or change my reservation. I love each season and count down the days until the next show. This theater has a vision, and I love that they make each show accessible to every member of the audience. Bravo!!!!
MoreWe went to the Coronado Playhouse to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat . Great show in a quaint cabaret style theater. This is an inexpensive way to see some great performances. The Cast were excellent and the staff fun and friendly. Will definitely be back.
MoreI so enjoy each play I have seen at the Coronado Playhouse . The seating is Cabaret style and very intimate . The productions are top notch . The house staff do their best to accommodate folks with disabilities . Kudos to the playhouse on their daring recent production of Next to Normal . The cast all have beautiful voices and touched me deeply . This venue deserves your visit.
