The place is poorly run by kids who really don’t care! Some of the carts are junk. They are slow and make for no fun! It’s expensive to drive, eat and play arcade games. We’re not coming back
More★★☆☆☆I brought my family to K1 Speed Carlsbad for the first time, and our experience was pretty disappointing overall. On the positive side, the check-in process was smooth and easy, and the staff member who helped us was friendly and even gave us a discount, which we appreciated.However, things went downhill once it was time to race. We were told that one race consists of 12 laps, so we expected each of us to get that full experience. What wasn’t explained is that races can include multiple groups at once—and that if someone reaches 12 laps first, the race ends for everyone.We ended up being grouped with more experienced drivers who finished very quickly. Because of that, the race ended early, and most of us didn’t even come close to completing 12 laps. I only got 9 laps in, my wife got 7, and my daughter just 6. Looking at the results, many others in our race also fell short of the promised 12 laps.For the price, this didn’t feel worth it at all. It would have made a big difference if they had clearly explained how the race format works beforehand. Instead, it felt misleading and left us pretty frustrated.

MoreAll karts pretty equal in speed, and all are fast. I like how kids can do the adult go-karts as long as they meet the height requirements. Kind staff, and fun racing. Would recommend to anyone.
