The Museum of Outdoor Arts contrasts the ornate beauty of bronze, granite, and kinetic sculptures with Bauhaus influenced glass office buildings stretching across a 400-acre business park. The collection contains 55 pieces from such revered sculptors as Henry Moore and Arnaldo Pomodoro, and includes six works from Harry Marinsky's Alice in Wonderland series. Although 80 percent of the pieces are outside, some smaller pieces are on display in the Madden Gallery, which resides inside the Harlequin Park Building. The museum also offers numerous art classes and camps, and is the home of Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre. Admission is free.

tripadvisorWent here for the Natura Obscura exhibit because it looked different and was not disappointed. If you've been to either House on the Rock or the Museum of Triassic Technology and enjoyed it then I think you'll enjoy this museum. Natura Obscura is the lion's share of the museum and a rotating exhibit so I don't know what they will have in store next, but if you're looking for something different (I'd say experiential) then give it a try! The museum is located on the second floor of a municipal building which houses the library on the first floor, so if you hit the library you know you're close. Also, the museum appears to have a connection to a large number of outdoor statues, some right outside the building while others are a couple miles away.
MoreWhat a lovely interactive with virtual reality art exhibit! Well worth visiting if you haven't experienced interactive art. It's small and air-conditioned, so it would be perfect for a hot day. Make sure to buy your tickets in advance as there are timed entries to limit the amount of visitors wandering around.
MoreWe went inside to see the Natura Obscura...an immersive art collective. It's a hands on virtual reality experience. Reminded me of Meow Wolf. Very well done!
MoreMade a special trip for this immersive art installation. Its on the 2nd floor of the Civic Center building. Loved the exhibit, worth a trip if you have the time.
MoreIt's a good area for a stroll and the sculptures are interesting. The area was very quiet when we went, probably because it was fairly cold. We went to the library for a while to get warmed up.
