Toy Tokyo Toys ·$$

A world without toys is a drab place! That's why Toy Tokyo in the East Village has taken it upon itself to sell these beloved products to New York's residents. While the latest toy imports from Japan and Hong Kong mostly fill the shelves, there is also a collection of rare and vintage toys from as long ago as the 1920s. In addition to selling cool toys, the shop hosts events to promote certain toys and artists.

very lovely store! they have a lot of things, ranging from sonny angels, labubus, cards, hk plushies, pusheen cats, figurines, sanrio blind bags and more. i went to this store with my friends today and the staff were super sweet, patient & understanding. i asked them for the sonny angel hippie figurines as i couldn't find them on the shelves & the staff were super informative, patient & let me buy one as soon as i asked. moreover, the staff also let me & my friends unbox our blind bags on the counter and everyone in the store was just super polite. the store also has air conditioning & is also very organized.

This is like a magical candy store for adults to collectors and Anime fans. Super friendly and helpful staff, who were only too happy to walk around the store and answer all my questions, I have been a couple of times over the years when visiting New York and I am yet to manage to leave empty handed , I've always left with something, either for myself or as gifts. Sometimes it nice to discover products in person rather than searching for rare things on Ebay. These guys have a great range of products, and if you're in to FUNKO make your way to their dedicated basement. either way if you're in the neighbourhood its worth a visit.

Visited there today , was really looking forward to it. Asked a few questions about the toys, but staff didn't know the answer. Shop would be much better if they employed staff who were enthusiastic and had product knowledge. I don't recommend a visit unless you take a bank loan to pay the overinflated prices

This place is awesome! They sell small batch designer toys and some people to seem to be confused that this is supposed to be a toys r us or something. Of course it’s pricey, this place is for the collectors, not for taking your kids shopping. They do have a large selection of funk pops in the basement however. Definitely recommend for the true, in depth collectors.

Very disappointed with the Funko they have. Over priced on the limited amount of “exclusive” pops they have. Not sure why it’s so hard to get a Funko pop from them if they don’t have enough Funko pops. Not impressed at all. Will not return. Not worth the visit .
