Christ Episcopal Church Episcopal Church

This one story historical structure is a blue stone structure with few particles of Gothic Revival. This church is rectangular in shape, and consists of a huge bell tower with a cross on the top. The church consists of side entrances and red doors which symbolizes the blood of Christ, which states the entry into salvation. It is also a remembrance of the blood of the martyrs that sowed the seeds of the church.

I was raised in this church and was Confirmed there as well. My wedding was also held there over 50 years ago. The church is the oldest church in Binghamton and is absolutely beautiful both on the outside and on the inside. All natural stone church and parish with beautiful marble inside. When I sang in the choir we had a mens choir, ladies choir, and a childrens choir. The real pipe organ was a sight to behold as well. The congregation was always friendly, helpful and like a large family. I sure do miss the church. (I moved many years ago too far away to return)
