tripadvisorUPDATE AFTER CHECKOUT:Unfortunately, I had to update my review after checking out because the issues continued right until the end of our stay.I first went to the front desk to ask about a late checkout. Barbara’s response was abrupt and unwelcoming. She snapped, “Everyone gets 11:30! We’re all sold out. Okay, let me give you 12:30.” The entire interaction felt unnecessarily rude, as though I was inconveniencing her by simply asking a question. Then, at checkout, I dealt with Barbara again. At 11:15 a.m. (and ultimately without even needing the late checkout), I noticed that I had been charged a $75 pet fee PLUS an additional $70 manual pet fee.My understanding of the policy was that the pet fee covered a four-night stay for up to two dogs, with an additional fee only for stays beyond four nights. When I questioned the charges, Barbara was adamant that the $75 pet fee was charged per night and was very rude in how she handled the conversation. Her attitude only changed when I explained that I was reading the hotel’s policy differently. Only then did she take the time to check the policy herself. After looking into it, she said, “Oh, not sure how that happened.”She then refunded the $70 manual pet fee and an additional $35, which she said was for parking. My issue isn't just about the money. It's about the principle, the lack of transparency, the incorrect charges, and the way these concerns were handled. Guests should not have to argue with front desk staff or insist that someone check the hotel's own policy to get their bill corrected. The dismissive attitude and initial insistence that the charges were correct made the situation even more frustrating. As mentioned in my original review, we appreciated the breakfast, convenient location, spacious rooms, evening reception, and pet-friendly atmosphere. However, the rooms needed better cleaning and maintenance, the refrigerator didn't work, and the pool and hot tub were dirty and disappointing. The condition of the pool was especially frustrating because it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Those issues were already disappointing, but the checkout experience and unexpected charges made our overall stay even worse.A hotel can have great amenities and a convenient location, but cleanliness, accurate billing, transparency, and respectful customer service matter just as much. Unfortunately, our experience fell short in too many areas, and the way these concerns were handled has made me question whether we would return.
MoreAfter taking a few years off of staying at this property because of some issues in previous trips, I decided to give them another shot as some colleagues were staying there. That was a mistake. No hot water for 3 days, staff walked into my room without knocking, no shower curtain liner and no conditioner for the three day stay. The worst part is that I reported these items in day 1 and was told they would be addressed and then spoke to the hotel manager on day 2 - and still no action. This place will not see my business again.
MorePlace is a dump. First room I went into had several issues. Electrical outlet with the enclosure exposed above sink. Closet door wouldn’t open all the way. They upgraded me to another room. This room also had electrical issues. Only outlet available to plug my laptop in was next to the bed. Lamp outlet at desk didn’t work. Outlet next to desk was missing outlet cover. Attempted to plug in laptop and outlet just fell into wall. Can’t say I have ever seen this before. Made me laugh.
MoreBarbara was excellent! She saw me sitting in the lobby early due to my flight change and worked to get me checked in. She is definitely an asset and someone that is willing to help!
MoreExcellent service however the hotel needs a facelift. Scratches all over the furniture, elevator doors were filthy. AC didn’t always work in the lobby during happy hour or breakfast. However every single staff member including the breakfast employee, front desk staff, and shuttle driver went out of their way to ensure our experience was as pleasant as possible!
