tripadvisorTheir movie and book prices are OK but I went to bring in. I would say over 200 DVDs which they sell on a regular basis for a decent amount used and only offered me $19 for all of them which is really cheap for what they sell their DVDs for. I don’t like it, but I would say it to a scam. If you’re gonna sell with them, make sure you really don’t want the money.
MoreWe always like to find a Half-Price books. This one had a nice selection even though it was smaller than some of the other ones we have been to. They had a larger proportion of records/ board games/ movies, etc. than we are used to as well.
MoreIt’s been hit and miss recently. I did find a couple of books for my daughter, however, I could have gotten a comparable deal by using Amazon. As for myself I haven’t been as successful when shopping there lately. Could this be an effect of Covid? Probably but who knows.
MoreUnfortunately the recent pandemic has helped cause a shortage of decent selection in the store. I have come away empty handed the last few trips. On the plus side my wife came away with a few books this last trip. Of course now they only accept books, CDs, DVDs from 1-4 pm each day except Thursday when don’t buy anything. I watched about 8 people with items to sell line up at 12:30 the time before last. For what little they give you it’s not worth the wait, folks. Staff there are courteous and helpful. There’s just not a lot there presently.
MoreFor those of us who have waited for things to get back to normal this is a start. Well, everything is a bit different as they are now allowing only so many people in as a precaution due to the virus threat. Now there are one way isles so that folks can maintain social distancing. Although the shelves were somewhat bare in certain isles there are still bargains to be had. Still it was nice to actually go inside the store and browse. What’s there is clean and neat and with time there will be more selection. Just a note for folks who have books, etc. to sell they are not accepting anything until June 10th and then by appointment only I think.
