tripadvisorThis is a great theater in a small town. They offer many shows for families, schools, and children, although overpriced for families with small children. They also offer concerts and a few random plays for adults. It’s a great place to go, but they don’t treat their volunteers so well. They are very demanding of their volunteers and treat them like children. Most of their volunteers are older adults who are retired professionals. They don’t need to be treated as such. Additionally, when the VP introduced herself to me, she was wearing tight, tight jeans with a sweater that didn’t even cover her belly button or “muffin top.” The male management team members don’t dress much better. Is there something these people have against dressing like a professional?
MoreVisited this wonderful venue to see a comedy routine and was very impressed. The restoration work that was obviously performed was very good. The upstairs lobby can be a little tight, but other than that there were decent bathrooms for a historic theater, the stairways were plenty wide and easy to navigate, and there was a bar both in the main lobby and the upstairs lobby.Seating was very comfortable and good views of the stage, but I would believe that if you were much taller than 5'10 or had really long legs, it might get a little cramped for you.The house staff were very helpful and extremely professional. Looking forward to another performance here.
MoreSocial distancing is impossible in the lobby. No more than 6 inches between people during intermission and before the house opens. Wish they hadn't changed the vaccination policy after we'd bought tickets.
MoreA beautiful restored theatre that I would like to see additional shows performed there. This particular show worked well in this theatre, and really appealed to our younger kids. The only concern I have is the snack bar is mainly candy, and of limited selection. Perhaps having popcorn or cotton candy for the kids would be good?
MoreIt was a pleasure to visit this ornate structure again! Beautiful as always. We saw Abby Road and although we loved the theater the show was not up to par. Note by note it sounded something like the Beatles. Unfortunately the sound mixing was horrible with the instruments way overpowering the voices. Additionally, the music was technically ok, but there was no energy, or spirit to it. Will definitely visit the Victoria again though.
