My wife and I were looking for a quick get away. She went online and found this little known gem in Norman, OK. This place is very eclectic, quaint and user friendly. It is near the OU campus and football stadium. It offers several extras such as food, drinks, snacks and movies. The unit is very private and well kept/clean.In summary, we highly recommend this B&B and it is a great value.

This is a very nice, clean stand-alone casita located in a neighborhood close to the University. Decorated in Santa Fe style, the casita’s front door opens into a small living room with a small kitchenette beyond. One queen bedroom and the bath (with a shower only) are located on one side; the other queen bedroom is located down a set of steps on the other side. Even though there were just two of us, it was nice to spread out. The backyard is lush and private. This B&B is more of an “unhosted” as opposed to a “fully hosted” B&B. There won’t be daily housekeeping and a gourmet breakfast each morning (and that is okay, just providing clarification for review purposes). The kitchen is stocked with cereals, yogurt, juice, milk, soft drinks and coffee. Each morning Laura drops off some additional breakfast items (muffins, stuffed croissants, etc.). The hosts, Troy and Laura, are very nice and helpful. There is traffic out front and a train nearby, but it didn’t seem to keep me awake. The train does, however, start at 5:00 a.m., so if you are a light sleeper it may be a problem. I’m not sure whether any hotel in town is immune to its whistle as the train runs straight through Norman. I agree with the reviewer who suggested a larger television; the T.V.s are pretty small (about the size of a computer screen). Even though we didn’t spend a lot of time watching T.V., it is nice to have one. The addition of a nice, big comfy reading chair would be nice as well, as most of the seating is of the pretty, but not very comfortable variety. But now I’m being picky. This B&B is well priced, more so for the lower weekday rates, which are a bargain (not so much on the weekend).

Family stayed a couple nights during the holidays and it was very charming. Hot tub was very enjoyable after the Christmas stress. Kids loved the huge fire pit (pre-loaded). The pastries were wonderful the first morning and the wife loved the bagels the second. The casita was clean and is well decorated in a Mexican/island theme. Fridge has some basics, coffee was good. Good Wi-fi. Only minor items for future improvements will be a small range (I'm an egg for breakfast person, but can't stand microwave eggs) and an upgrade to one larger television (it snowed one night and got to 20F - too cold to do much walking and exploring).
