Very professional theater, great building, good acoustics, overall high level performances. A nice way to spend afternoon or evening. Lots of parking available. Lots of nice restaurants nearby for before or after. Typically there is one show at a time and they tend to pick Broadway favorites. We saw Bull Durham and it was a very fun energetic performance. The performance was almost sold out, the boxes and mezzanine all have pretty good view of the show age and great sound.Recommend to everyone in the area who enjoys musical theater.

Amazing production of White Christmas ! Singing, dancing, orchestra... all were superb. This was on par with any Broadway show ! The show was dazzling .

Excellent time at the Papermill Playhouse. Do not miss a meal at the carriage house right across the street. Phenomenal restaurant Broadway scale performances at the Playhouse. Can't wait to go back.

Papermill Playhouse you ought to be ashamed of yourselves for presenting the WORST production of RENT ever! Jonathan Larson would be devastated to see his legacy, his life work, altered in such a way that his vision doesn’t even resemble his work! The set design, direction, blocking and everything visual was awful! Nothing like the original or the productions when the show toured for years. And my daughter and I have seen the show at least 20 times! But the worst was the costuming! Roger looked beyond ridiculous! Roger wouldn’t be caught dead in that patchwork jacket or that cardigan sweater! He looked like Mr. Rogers! And Mimi and the red fringed jacket? What? The ensemble police looked liked they were costumed from Party City. So bad. And since when does La Vie Boheme (where the actors should have been on one side of the table) turn into a middle school food fight where they trashed the restaurant and threw French Fries? Really? I could go on. Scene after scene and number after number were butchered by awful direction and scenic design. Angel was poorly cast. No chemistry between Collin and Angel. Angel’s signature number was awful. No dancing ability or athleticism. Same for Mimi. All that said, most if this was not the fault of the performers. Some had the voices. Especially Maureen. She had the best voice up there. They were just costumed and directed so badly their vocal abilities couldn’t shine. And changing the presentation of Seasons of Love was like blasphemy. How could you? The one standout ensemble member was Andrew Faria. He was great. Mark was not bad but again was directed and costumed poorly. So incredibly disappointing.

We had planned to go see a performance of Hercules but we came down with Covid in our house. I am from Massachusetts and planned to travel to NJ, especially to see a friend in the show. Beware that this is no contingency for a ticket refund, even in the case of Covid. I wasn't able to reschedule our visit before the show closed. I understand that the refund policy is very clearly spelled out but Covid makes the world a different place and exceptions should be put in place for this. Theoretically, it seems like they would rather have someone attend the performance with Covid than offer a refund.I opted for an account credit but who knows when I will be in Milburn NJ to see a show. I am very disappointed on so many levels.
