tripadvisorThe Stone Mountain Arts Center is very special. We try to go a few times a year and went last night to see Jeff Daniels perform. We were not disappointed and quite frankly have never been with past experiences. Great space , most delicious food and entertainment at a very high level. If it was not such a distance for us [ well over an hour] we would go more frequently !
MoreMy first visit to Stone Mountain Arts Center was fantastic!!! Only 1/2 hour away and a musician myself, I can't believe I waited this long - but will return soon!! Ellis Paul and a talented pianist put on a wonderful, positive show. We had dessert and drinks - delicious and nicely presented. Water on the table throughout the evening which was nice. Clean bathrooms, kind staff, welcoming patrons, and a beautiful venue. Even the parking attendant was fun!! Don't miss this place - they have a ton of great acts throughout the year!!!!!
MoreWent to see Peter Wolf, him and the two musicians with him were excellent. Went both Friday and Saturday. Had dinner on Saturday, very large portions. Food was good and the staff was excellent. Great Experience
MoreWe have wanted to attend a performance here and of course Covid threw a wrench into our plans and were so thrilled to finally be able to go there. It was well worth the wait and now can't wait to go back. We arrived early for our performance and the gentleman assisting in parking was sort of a rude smarta$$ but once we got past him, it was great. We love the funky retro vibe, the gorgeous vintage barware and chatting with the regulars. They have a very orderly system for seating, dinner, etc. Dinner choices were good and plentiful. We very much enjoyed the show, staff, everything.
MoreWe recently saw Paula Poundstone at the Stone Mountain Center for the Arts. The venue is small, holding approximately 200 people. There are tables and chairs on the ground level and several chairs and counters on the second level. Dinner is served at 6 pm. Service is quick and efficient. We were a party of 2 and were placed with another party of 2; made some new friends! The food is not inexpensive, but it is phenomenal! I had a Buffalo Chicken Dinner Salad: A huge portion of braised chicken on top of greens, chunks of bleu cheese, homemade croutons, and a maple/bleu cheese dressing. Very delicious and I took half home for the next day. My friend had meatloaf; the largest slice of meatloaf I have ever seen with carmelized onions, served with a huge portion of homemade mashed potatoes mixed with peas and carrots. Both meals came with a good sized slice of homemade cornbread with whipped pumpkin butter. Again, a huge serving; half went home with us. Dessert looked wonderful; there was a choice of pie, chocolate chip sundae with a huge scoop of ice cream and whipped cream, covered with hot fudge sauce. We were too full to try even a bite! Meals are cleared and drinks are served before the show. Paula Poundstone was fantastic! Incredibly funny; we laughed for 2 hours! This is a special event venue; it’s not cheap, but it’s worth every penny!
